Formula

Evaporator tons = GPM × ΔT ÷ 24. ΔT = entering chilled-water temperature − leaving chilled-water temperature.

Assumptions

This calculator assumes water. Glycol changes the heat-transfer factor and should be corrected for actual fluid concentration.
