kW per ton = input power ÷ evaporator load.

Assumptions

Input power is actual measured chiller power. Evaporator load is calculated from measured flow and water temperature difference, or another verified load source.

Warnings

Do not use design tons unless you are only doing a rough comparison. Mixed operating conditions can make the result misleading.
